Creating positive impact that makes complete commercial sense

Our work Invisible Cities

Invisible Cities, winner of the Lonely Planet Best in Travel 2021 award, is a social enterprise that trains people, whohave previously experienced homelessness, to become walking tour guides of their own city. They offer a number of themed family-friendly tours across the UK.

Ambition
Four Marketing Agency was appointed to work with Invisible Cities in June 2020, as the nation was in the throes of the first national lockdown. The aim was to realise their PR objectives and raise awareness among existing and prospective audiences on a global level as well as support a drive among corporate and domestic tourism markets. They also needed support to realise revenue during the pandemic via virtual events and innovative product offerings.

Action
We focused on the brand objectives, positioning, storytelling and promotion of the individual work and people in the cities where the brand has a presence.

We delivered a carefully curated mix of press releases, media relations, business profiling, management of strategic partnerships and support with the coordination of award entries.

Four also supported the teams to launch a number of virtual events and a new subscription box initiative, as well as helping them communicate Covid-related closing and re-opening statements and measures in a careful and concise way to the right audiences. We played an integral role in the social enterprise’s operation during a period of significant change.

Result
Coverage secured in more than 100 titles over the course of six months, including national outlets such as BBC TV, The Daily Mail, The Independent, The Big Issue, trade title Group Travel Organiser and Scottish titles The Scotsman and The Herald, plus BBC Radio Scotland, as well as local coverage across Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Four Marketing Agency continues to work with Invisible Cities on their national PR strategy and activation.

We work with Four Marketing Agency as if they were part of our team, and the knowledge and drive they have to promote and support us is wonderful. As a small and ambitious social organisation, they are exactly what we needed. Knowing that they share our values and ethos makes it even better.
